Hello everyone! My name is Paul Hoerman. This is the my first semester of my final
year! I have been on the Van Wilder College plan, 8 years...*deep breath...sigh*.
Anyway, I transferred from the University of Florida to Chico in 2007. It has been a
fun trip, but I'm ready to graduate. Good luck to everyone!
Hobbies
- Computer Games

- Watching/playing football (especially the Gators!)

- Watching movies
- Socializing - I love hanging out with people and enjoying myself a good time. I tend to
pretty much like anything as long as it involves people and fun. And there may be a
beer or a dozen involved...
Skills
- Average WPM - 100
- Programming experience - Java, C++, PHP, ASP, Perl, HTML, BASIC, AJAX,
MSSQL, MySQL, CSS, UnrealScript, and more. (I'm a codefier)
- Application experience - Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Eclipse, Mirage, Lightwave, Flash
(Graphicfying things is NOT my strong point)

Projects
- Developed a chat web application and modified/utilized various open
source applications
- Developed a RSA encryption application for sensitive data
- Created PERL scripts to optimize code for security purposes
- Created a PERL script to convert a Word document annual report into a
web-based annual report
- Created a web-based management application to help organize an online
group that I adminstered/headed
- Incorporated third-party credit card processing systems with multiple
web applications for enhanced security
- Developed a mod using Unreal Tournament 3 as part of a 60 person team
for Chico State Game Studios
- Created a 3D virtual billiards application implementing our own
physics engine as part of a 5-man team using OpenGL
- Created and maintained several registration and admin pages/databases
for different conferences
- Automate many processes at Regional & Continuing Education for more
efficient productivity
